All Souls Day

In honoimg_00601r of All Souls Day, our students were invited to bring in a photograph/item from a loved one who has passed away.  At 10:00, Father Mark came over for a short prayer service.  He explained that November is All Souls Month.  A month that we can be praying for our loved ones who have passed away.  Our prayers can help move them closer to God.  He compared Heaven to a curtain, our loved ones are still there, we just can’t see them right now.  After the blessing, the fifth and sixth graders went outside to bless a tree and plaque in honor of their third/fourth grade teacher, Ms Weinfurt, who died in August of 2015.
