Dear Parents and Students of St. Bernard,

Hello!

October 23-31 is Red Ribbon Week (Drug Awareness Week).  On Wednesday, October 26th will be our celebration day. Students should wear a red uniform shirt if possible in observance of this week.  Students will also get a treat bag to remind them not to use drugs.

During conferences this year Mrs. Lani will be having a book sale.  Please consider purchasing a book for the library while you are here for conferences.  When you purchase one you get to take it home first, read it, and then donate it to the library.

All money from Stewardship envelopes from last week and this week will go to Freedom House.  Freedom House takes in whole families for long periods until they can get back on their feet.  Please consider donating extra money for this cause in your stewardship envelope this week.

On November 15th we are having a special day called Mix It Up Day.  The students will get a piece of candy at lunch that day and will sit at the table with a picture of that candy on it.  The purpose of this day is to meet new people, to sit with students you might not normally sit with, and maybe make a new friend.

On November 22nd we will be Epilepsy Awareness Day.  Student Council will be learning more about this disorder at their meeting.  We will wear purple that day and student council memebers will be going into classrooms to tell students more about what they learned.

Every Thursday at 8:15 am Student Council hosts a School Store in the library.  We have lots of different school supplies to choose from.  So if you need or want some new school supplies come on in to the library on Thursday mornings.

Thanks,
Student Council Members
